It was formally shared that the prestigious Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC) will be held in China in April 2025.

China's Delegation Attends WAHO Conference to Promote International Horse Industry Exchange and Cooperative Development

On the morning of April 8, 2025 (local time), the General Assembly of the World Arabian Horse Organization (WAHO) opened in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Over 268 participants from 62 countries around the world participated in the conference, with the China Arabian Horse Association attending as a voting delegate.

As a key agenda item, the conference voted and approved revisions to the WAHO constitution, financial reports, changes to membership fees, and the establishment of Arabian horse registration organizations in relevant countries, among other matters. Additionally, a moment of silence was observed for WAHO individual members who had passed away between 2022 and 2025.

At the conference venue, Mr. Peter Pond, the President of WAHO, highly praised the publication of "China Arabian Stud Book (Volume I)" in his work report to the conference, which earned warm applause from the attendees.

Prior to the conference, Secretary-General YUE Gaofeng of the China Horse Industry Association (CHIA) held a formal meeting with HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamad Al Nahyan, the Vice Chairman of the UAE Arabian Horse Association, and Mohamed Al Harbi, the Director-General, among others. The UAE side expressed their firm and continuous support for the successful implementation of relevant activities and work of the China Arabian Horse Association. YUE Gaofeng expressed gratitude on behalf of the CHIA and welcomed the UAE side to include exchanges on equestrian culture and art as an important part of bilateral cooperation, in addition to their support for Arabian horse beauty contests and speed races.

Furthermore, Princess Alia bint Hussein, a long-time friend of the CHIA, also met with YUE Gaofeng during the conference. She expressed her eagerness to visit China again soon to experience its rich culture, especially its horse culture.

On December 20, 2024, the Sixth Plenary Session of the China Arabian Horse Association was held at the Beijing Hong Kong Jockey Club Clubhouse.

During the meeting, the second term of the main members of the China Arabian Horse Association was appointed. Mr. Liu Shuqing was named Honorary President; Mr. Wang Qidong, President; Mr. Gao Qingyu, Executive Vice President: Mr. Wang Zhenshan, Mr. Wang Xin, Ms. Wang Huijie, Mr. Li Zhi, Chen Li, Mr. Gao Bingqi, and Mr. Jiang Peng, Vice Presidents; Mr. Wang Zhenshan concurrently served as Secretary-General.

The China Arabian Horse Association is proud to announce that the winner of their 2024 WAHO Trophy is the Female, XI WA NA.

Xiwana's appearance possesses the typical characteristics of an Arabian horse, such as a wedge-shaped head, a broad forehead, large eyes, and distinct nostrils, with a delicate and concave-shaped muzzle. Her neck is curved and gracefully formed, has a very long throatlatch, which provides ample flexibility for the bridle. In addition, Xiwana has a long and flat croup, with a high tail, displaying her robust physique and elegant posture. Her head, neck, limbs, overall structure, and athletic ability are all perfect, earning her the championship of Young Mare at the 2023 Shenyang Arabian Horse Show.

Xiwana's father is "Gaudi J (BE)." "Gaudi J (BE)" won the silver medal in the Belgian National Arabian Yearling Selection in 2016 and received the honor of the Golden Crown Youth Horse in St. Eedenrode, Netherlands (2 years old) in 2017. In December 2017, Mr. Wang Xin purchased "Gaudi J (BE)" at a high price, and it is currently kept at Xinda Bohan Horse Industry in Qian'an City, Hebei Province. In 2019, "Gaudi J (BE)" was registered as a breeding stallion with the China Arabian Horse Association. Due to its excellent bloodline and achievements, and the beauty and agility of its offspring, it was successively selected as the Excellent Breeding Stallion of the Year in 2020 and 2021.

In June 2024, ‌China Arabian Stud Book (Volume I)‌——the inaugural edition organized by the China Arabian Horse Association and approved by the World Arabian Horse Organization (WAHO)——was finalized. This volume documents comprehensive information on all Arabian breeding mares, stallions, newborn foals, and imported horses in China, covering 564 registered Arabians from 2015 to the end of 2023, including 295 domestically bred and 269 imported horses. All entries adhere to WAHO regulations, with foals verified through DNA testing‌.

Currently, some Arabians imported into China remain unregistered with the China Arabian Horse Association. These horses and their offspring will be labeled as ‌"pending registration"‌ and may enter ‌China Arabian Stud Book (Volume II)‌ after completing the registration process‌.
